TLDR;

The treatment of triggers has been demonstrated to enhance freedom from arrhythmias in comparison to leaving premature atrial contractions (PACs) untreated. Despite the progress made in technology, traditional contact mapping strategies are constrained by the catheters’ field of view. Moreover, due to the transient nature of PACs and the necessity of precise timing and placement, these strategies are inadequate in today’s resource-conscious healthcare landscape.

A comprehensive mapping approach is required to monitor every cardiac beat within the chamber, aiming to effectively isolate and target the intricate interplay between triggers and substrates that contribute to the complex nature of the patient’s specific arrhythmogenic region(s) of interest.
